Sky-Dome refers to a lighting technique used in computer graphics to simulate soft diffuse light created by a uniform overcast sky.

Sky-domes, physical skies, radiosity, irradiance, particle tracing, voxels, global illumination and high-dynamic-range are just a few of the technologies we use to create lighting for simulated environments.

Services

Our services focus on three related areas of activity - visualization, lighting simulation and laser fabrication in support of clients in architecture, construction and academic research. We utilize all the latest computer software and hardware technology backed by years of research and experience

Our visualization principal, Chris Jessee, has been involved in 3D computer modeling and visualization since 1987 - working in architecture, animation and computer gaming. Chris also has more than 8 years of academic research experience and training at such notable organizations as the San Diego Super Computing Center, the UCLA Virtual Environments Lab and the Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities at UVA. With this depth of experience we can handle all your visualization needs.

Visualization Whether you need a simple illustrative rendering, a photo-realistic still image or a soaring animation we can meet your needs using a broad range of rendering and animation technologies.

Lighting Simulation Using the latest lighting simulation software, based on the real physics of light, we accurately calculate the lighting of interior and exterior scenes. From these calculations we produce High-Dynamic Range images that capture the full spectral range. Further derivative images of a broad range of exposures containing accurate energy values are then possible.

Laser Fabrication The latest laser fabrication technology now makes it possible to produce complex topographic and structural models affordably, shaving weeks off your design and presentation schedules.
